About Blackjack Chart
A focused reference for understanding blackjack decisions and the rules behind them.
What Blackjack Chart offers
Blackjack Chart is a free, independent reference for basic strategy. It has strategy charts for four to eight decks, one deck and two decks, a hand calculator, a ten-hand strategy trainer, printable PDF charts and short guides to the rules and decisions behind them.
Every tool is free to use, needs no account and works in the browser.
Who it is for
The site is written for adults who want to understand blackjack decisions: new players learning the rules, regular players checking a specific hand and anyone studying how rule changes such as H17 or late surrender alter the correct play.
It is a learning resource, not a casino. Blackjack Chart does not offer games, take bets or hold accounts.
How the content is produced
The strategy decisions come from Michael Shackleford’s Wizard of Odds basic-strategy tables for one deck, two decks and four to eight decks. They were transcribed into a single data file covering 24 rule combinations and 7,440 decisions. Our layouts, chart designs, card artwork and explanations are original.
The charts, calculator, trainer and PDFs all read that one data file, so a hand cannot show one answer in the chart and another in the calculator.
How the data is checked
The data was last compared with its source tables on 16 October 2026. Automated tests compare every cell the site shows with the source data and run a set of known edge cases, such as pair-of-8s against an ace under H17, before any change goes live.
What the charts do not cover
The references cover standard US hole-card blackjack with a dealer peek. They do not cover European no-hole-card games, side bets, special variants, card-counting deviations or composition-dependent exceptions.
Editorial principles
Every chart and tool shows the rules it assumes, because a strategy answer is only correct for its rule set. We explain what a tool does and what it does not do: the calculator returns a decision, not a probability or expected value.
We do not promise wins, sell betting systems or describe gambling as a way to make money. Paid or sponsored content, when published, is labelled as such and kept separate from the strategy references.
Corrections
If you think a chart cell, example or explanation is wrong, email contact@blackjackchart.co with the chart settings, your two cards and the dealer’s upcard. Confirmed errors are corrected in the data file, and the charts, PDFs and tools update together.
