Match the rules first
The table assumes a dealer blackjack check. It does not cover European no-hole-card games, side bets or special bonus variants.
Two decks, distinct decisions
Under the displayed S17 rules, hard 9 doubles against 2 through 6 and hard 11 doubles against every upcard. If doubling is unavailable, hit. Do not substitute the multi-deck table.
Pairs differ as well: with two decks, 6,6 splits against 2 through 7 and 7,7 splits against 2 through 8. Compare the single-deck chart and the 4–8 deck blackjack chart to see how the deck count moves these lines.
Soft 18 against an ace
This chart follows the source’s displayed initial-hand strategy: A,7 against an ace is a hit. The source discusses standing as an aggregate alternative when one fixed choice must cover hands of different lengths.

The reference is total-dependent, with US hole-card and peek rules. Split limits and restrictions on split aces still apply. A recommendation to split only applies while splitting is legal.
